Welcome to another Kyvio 2 update party!
In these blog posts, we list all the updates that have been released on production since our last update blog post.
Remember; many of these new features, improvements, and fixes have been live for quite some time as we release new stuff every few days as soon as its ready.
And as always, at the end of the blog post, we talk about what is coming up next!
New Features
HOT – Member Quick Login feature
About 70% of all support requests on a product launch are “I didn’t receive my product login”. How would you like to bring this to near 0% with Kyvio?
We have created a special “member login” button that you can place in your funnel AFTER the purchase of your Smart Membership product (e.g. on the ‘thank you’ page). Your buyer will only need to click the button and he/she will be logged in to your member’s area secure and instantly without the need for a password.
The system will at that moment ask the buyer to set his/her chosen password for future usage.
1-click upsell – double purchase warning
1-click upsells can be tricky and you need to be careful with the power of this feature because you don’t want customers to go buy stuff twice by accident. Hence we’ve built a feature to protect your customers that if they already bought a product the 1-click upsell button will give a warning first.
Smart Funnels – Publishing in progress indicator
A while back we changed the publishing process to be a background event instead of a ‘while-you-wait’ process to support big-ass funnels & sites. Now, while publishing is in progress for a funnel or a site you can’t do certain things until publishing is finished. Because of this, we’ve added warnings and visual indicators to tell you the publishing process is still running. It updates every 20 seconds so there’s no need to refresh the page.
Improvements
Smart Funnels: on the checkout page the order summary plugin is completely rebuilt and with the rebuild, it also fixes the issue of not properly displaying some other non-English language accents and characters.
Smart Funnels: Stripe product setup error on the checkout page.
If you just created your product and go check the Kyvio checkout page for this product very quickly it’s possible that the product plan is not yet created in Stripe’s system (this can take a few minutes). If this happens it will give you a proper error message on the checkout page.
Smart Funnels & Smart Memberships: Plugins code improvements.
We’ve implemented some code improvements (removing some warnings in the dev console) and as a result, they load a bit faster.
Smart Funnels & Smart Memberships: we’ve improved our system by automatically fixing slugs if users choose slugs with invalid characters (e.g. with a slash), or slugs already used on your domain, etc. Just more proactiveness from our system to take away headaches and confusion for you!
Smart Funnels & Smart Memberships: Analytics report processing is massively improved.
All analytic reports are now updated every 30 minutes and we’ve stress-tested them for up to 3 million visits per 30 minutes. All records got processed without problems in less than 10 minutes.
Smart Funnels & Smart Memberships: another big speed improvement.
We’ve been utilizing http/2 PUSH technology for a while now to give you amazing page load speed but we’ve extended the usage of this to the absolute max that modern browsers allow us.
Smart Memberships: added an option to select multiple product price variant(s) in Membership product > Step 4: Action. We added this on request.
Smart Memberships: you can now set a custom URL as logout redirection. So you can redirect users anywhere you’d like.
Smart Memberships: Import members improvement.
We’ve made various smaller improvements and checks when importing members. For example; when you are moving your members from Kyvio 1 to Kyvio 2. If a member is missing any info that is required it’s clearly explained and we proactively fix some data for you.
Smart Memberships: Products overview plugin now showing real-life data.
Before, inside the builder, the products overview plugin for your members’ area was showing dummy data. Now we’ve updated this to real data so it actually offers the products you have set up.
Smart Memberships: export & import members.
Due to a small file structure issue with the .csv member export, you had to first open the CSV file and then save it and only then you could import it back into the system. Now you can just instantly import the previously exported members CSV files.
Smart Memberships & Smart Products: we’ve cleaned up email short codes used in the system. We now made sure all shortcodes can be used in any email and we renamed a few (with backwards compatibility!) for better clarity.
Smart Products: removal of the ‘cancel subscription’ button on manually created orders. The button didn’t make sense in that scenario and obviously also did not work, so why display it?
Smart Products: in the quick stats column we didn’t display the currency. We’ve added this now.
Kyvio Publisher: regular check on funnels/membership sites that might be stuck for some reason during publishing. As we switched from instant publishing while-you-wait process to a process that runs in the background so that you can continue working, it can sometimes happen (very rarely) that publishing gets stuck. If that happens you can’t edit your funnel/site anymore. We’ve added a process that checks for these instances every 30 minutes and proactively fixes it for you.
Builder: ‘one-page’ feature removed
In the builder, we had a switch button called ‘one pager’ that would stick together all pages from your funnel/site and convert it to a one-pager. All sites that have this turned on will be automatically converted to ONE actual page and that button will be removed. So in the future, if you want a one-page just create it as one page :). Makes a lot more sense and less confusion.
Dashboard: Max team users.
Before when you had reached max team users and you went and tried to create a new member you first had to fill out a form to create a new user and only after it would tell you max was reached. Now the system tells you right away – saving you from wasting time filling out the form for nothing. #itsTheSmallThings
General: showing only modules to which team members have access.
For main users, we always show all modules available in Kyvio and when you click a module you do not have access to we send you to the upgrade page so you can get it. However, for team members, this did not make sense so now team members ONLY see modules they have access to.
Integrations: Payments by Stripe
Our system now detects that if somebody tries to buy your product with a payment method that is not supported by your Stripe account, we will send you an in-app alert about this.
Bug Fixes
Smart Funnels: in some specific scenarios when cloning a funnel would result in some pages having the wrong page types. This is fixed now.
Smart Products: if you try to change an existing product to a membership site product but you do not have a membership site the system will now give you an appropriate error.
Smart Memberships: for some bigger membership sites the dashboard for your membership site took very long to load and sometimes even gave a 504 error. This has now been fixed and the page loads fast even with huge membership sites.
Smart Products: for the Smart Products dashboard for those users with a LOT of customers and orders the dashboard was getting slow to load. We’ve improved this and it’s loading quick and dandy.
Smart Funnels: download your funnel as HTML.
For some big funnels the download was timing out and some of the downloaded files had some smaller issues. The process is partially rewritten and works faster and better. This was, however, just step 1. We have a bigger rewrite pending for this functionality to support even very big funnels and make it asynchronous (so processing the files for download in the background).
Smart Funnels coupon input field not showing correctly on the checkout page. We fixed the styling issue that in some cases the coupon input field looked off.
Let’s look into the future
Another good list of improvements and progress for Kyvio! So let’s have a look at what is next.
The v4 of the Kyvio builder is ready and on staging. The only thing holding us back from releasing it is preparing training and finishing converting all templates to the new builder structure.
In fact, the dev team is already working hard on builder v4.1 which is also quite the improvement as it will allow us to get rid of the ‘hidden menus’ and the “it is not a bug but a feature“ functionality that if you (accidentally) remove the menu completely it will also delete the pages. This update will even allow you to apply different templates to each page in your funnel!
Then we’ll soon start with a new secret project for Smart Memberships and AI. The specifications are almost fully done now.
And last but not least, we are working on some further Smart Journey improvements for the canvas to help you build better customer journeys and some internal application analytics to learn more and better from our users’ actions to show us what you need and where we need to do better.
